CPR Ezy-Pad
Aids effective CPR chest compressions
The key to effective CPR chest compressions is a combination of achieving the correct rate, rhythm and depth of compression. CPR Ezy-Pad assist's rescuers achieve these criteria by visually and audibly indicating the rate and depth at which CPR chest compressions should be performed.
An essential aspect of maintaining adequate blood flow to the vital organs during a cardiopulmonary arrest is the application of chest compressions at the correct rate. The human heart can beat at over 200 times per minute during strenuous exercise and at levels as low as 50 bpm when relaxed. During cardiac arrest, the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC), International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and the European Resuscitation Council all recommend that chest compressions be applied at a rate of 100 per minute for adult single rescuer CPR.
CPR Ezy-Mask
CPR Ezy-Mask has been designed to automatically occlude the victim's nose when it is placed on the patients face. This unique feature helps to improve the flow of expired air to the victim's mouth and lungs. CPR Ezy-Mask is designed to fit the nose of all adults and children above 8 years of age.
Studies indicate the one of the greatest fears held by potential rescuers is that of contracting a disease or infection while performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. CPR Ezy-Mask provides a physical barrier between rescuer and patient so that no direct facial contact is required.
